Sponsorship Programs
TIBETFREUNDE has mediated sponsorships for more that nineteen years. At
present more than 1,800 sponsorships are dealt with through our
organization.
A sponsorship means that the Sponsor contributes to the cost of living
and education of a Tibetan refugee child from a needy family in India or
Nepal. A sponsorship may be initiated when a child is still very young,
entering school or during his or her education. A sponsorship normally
ends when a child completes his or her education. Very often during the
course of the years a close relationship is formed that can be invaluable
to both parties.
We also mediate in sponsorships for nuns, monks, students and needy
elderly people.
