Data

Our not-for-profit organization was founded in 1988 by Swiss activists. The same year the "Award for freedom and human rights" was given in Bern to H.H. the 14th Dalai Lama. Half of the price money He donated spontaneously with His best wishes as a starting capital.
On December 31, 2010 our membership quota was 730.
On this same date, the number of sponsors mediated by our organization amounted to 1461.
Many of our sponsors chose to provide aid to more than one child, nun or elderly person. For this reason, the total number of sponsored people at the end of the year 2010 was 1670 children, students, young monks and nuns, not to mention elderly people.
